"Demon"

"On the morning of September 11th, 2001, I was working in my studio listening to the radio, when the the shocking reports came across the air, a plane had collided with the World Trade Center. I listened, and dipped my brush in the black paint and began to paint out sections of the brightly colored composition I was working with. As I listened in awe, I continued painting. I filled in and scratched into it, I was painting on "automatic pilot." As I began to finish the piece, it appeared to me that I had found a 'face made of faces'. It was a burning face and seemed to stare back at me. I decided to continue working as I listened to the unbelievable reports".
