This view of the road is one of my favorite paintings from the series. It seems representitive of the journey I made, making art and experiencing so much.
This view was seen in Guatemala, from the back of a jeep, the only transport available down into the village of Sebol. After Sebol, the only transportation was by hitch-hiking a ride from passing trucks, which navigate the logging road connecting this remote ranching area with the main road.
When I was successful at hopping aboard a truck, I was surprised to see a truck which had passed me earlier, (which I missed catching a ride on), deep in the jungle, flipped over on the side of the road and abandoned!
