Huautla Jimenez, in northern Oaxaca State, is known for it's "curanderos", or traditional healers. They use various plants, including locally collected hallucinagens, to diagnose and treat the many people who travel from around the world, hoping to be healed, where other doctors and remedies have failed. They conduct a ceremony which combines native religion with Christianity.
I found the "blueness" of the mountains there remarkable and made many works on paper, including this one. How did that curved line get in there? Good question.
